DISCOVER THE ANTI-AGING, BRIGHTENING, SOOTHING, AND ANTIBACTERIAL POWERS OF LED PHOTOMODULATION

WHAT IS LED PHOTOMODULATION

The invention of LED masks marked a turning point in the beauty industry! It is the new secret for giving your skin a glow boost, clearing acne, or boosting your collagen.

The use of light for therapeutic purposes goes back thousands of years. In Ancient Egypt, special temples were built for healing through sunlight and colored light. More recently, red light attracted NASA’s interest, which harnessed its power in the late 1980s to grow plants in space. Scientists also discovered that by using red light on astronauts, their injuries healed much more quickly.

HOW LED LIGHT THERAPY WORKS

HOW DOES IT WORK?

LED photomodulation is a non-invasive treatment that consists of exposing the skin to different wavelengths of light, each of which has a different effect on the skin (depending on its color) in order to trigger natural cellular repair and rejuvenation processes. The skin uses light as an energy source to power the repair and rejuvenation of damaged cells or, in the case of acne treatment, to kill bacteria. This energy stimulates collagen and elastin production, boosts circulation, and accelerates tissue repair.

The light rays emitted by LEDs have anti-aging, brightening, soothing, and antibacterial powers on our skin. They are therefore recommended for rejuvenation, sun damage, radiance, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, sensitivity, inflammation, and healing.

Depending on the wavelengths and spectrum of these rays, lights of various colors are obtained, each with different benefits for the skin. They penetrate the skin at different depths depending on the desired result. When used regularly, LEDs offer lasting results, but you may notice a difference after the very first session.

THE DIFFERENT LIGHT COLORS AND THEIR BENEFITS

WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS ON MY SKIN?

During LED therapy, devices send cool light waves deep into the skin to trigger natural intracellular reactions. Each light has a different wavelength and performs a very specific function on the skin. The best known and most widely used are Red Light and Near-Infrared Light. Exposure to these rays can boost fibroblast activity (the support fibers located in the deeper layers of the skin) to promote collagen production and activate skin healing.

RED LIGHT

It stimulates collagen production, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, combats inflammation and redness, improves circulation, and thus makes the skin healthier and more radiant. It also increases hydration levels and is a treatment for rosacea.

INFRARED LIGHT

White in color, it is the wavelength absorbed most deeply. It regenerates the cells of the dermis and epidermis and smooths wrinkles. It is used to regenerate the skin and accelerate the healing of skin lesions. It is recommended for cystic acne.

BLUE LIGHT

Antibacterial, it is ideal for people with acne-prone skin because it kills the bacteria responsible for acne and also targets overactive sebaceous glands, which notably lead to excess sebum production.

PURPLE LIGHT

It combines red light and blue light to form a powerful duo that fights acne and signs of aging, while reducing inflammation, scars, and skin sagging.

AMBER LIGHT

Excellent for sensitive skin, it helps reduce issues such as redness (rosacea) and inflammation. It also stimulates lymphatic drainage and helps the skin regain a natural, healthy glow.

GREEN LIGHT

It reduces hyperpigmentation spots.

LED TOOLS AND HOW TO USE THEM

HOW TO USE YOUR LED MASK?

For at-home LED masks, the skin must be clean and makeup-free. LED masks allow you to benefit from this treatment while remaining free to move, as they operate autonomously. You can use your mask 3 to 5 times a week for 10 minutes, on clean, dry skin. Completely painless and with no side effects, the LED mask can be used in all seasons and on all phototypes.

Contraindications: LED phototherapy is not recommended in cases of photoallergy, skin cancers, thyroid problems, or if you have epilepsy. The treatment should also be avoided if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
