Adaptogenic Mushrooms

Adaptogenic Mushrooms

CORDYCEPS, REISHI, CHAGA, LION'S MAN... DISCOVER THEIR UNIQUE PROPERTIES WELL KNOWN IN TRADITIONAL ASIAN MEDICINE.

Mushrooms contain beta-glucans, or messenger molecules, which transmit information to the immune system to regulate it. They adapt to the body's needs and are most often used to boost the immune system, regulate mood, improve sleep, and reduce stress and anxiety. But their fantastic powers don't stop there; they also contribute to beautiful skin, leaving it soothed, radiant, and hydrated.

This new trend is becoming very popular in supplements and skincare, as its effects are so promising, even though it has existed for over 2,000 years. If you would like to learn more about mycology, we recommend watching the documentary “Fantastic Fungi” on Netflix. Adaptogenic mushrooms can be consumed daily and over the long term. They are not considered toxic and are not addictive.

IN DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS

CHAGA

In Asian culture, the Chaga mushroom is called the "mushroom of immortality" and is used to support a healthy immune system response. Its high antioxidant content protects against oxidative stress. It reduces inflammation and slows the premature aging process. It is a good remedy for people suffering from inflammatory conditions such as eczema and dermatitis.

REISHI

This mushroom is one of the most powerful adaptogens on Earth. It can regulate the immune system and relieve stress. It also promotes better sleep. It possesses anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties. The adaptogenic properties of reishi mushrooms result in soothed and calmed skin, as well as a reduction in redness. It also helps diminish wrinkles and fine lines, and repairs and strengthens the skin's moisture barrier. It is a natural antiviral, promotes better concentration and sleep, and reduces hormonal imbalances. It combines well with other mushrooms, particularly shiitake and maitake, as well as anti-inflammatory and soothing herbs. Reishi mushrooms can be consumed whole or in extract or powder form. For skincare, reishi mushroom formulas can be used twice a day, morning and evening.

"Reishi is excellent for calming irritation or redness, which is why I like to use it with a really active formula, especially in our vitamin C serum."

TREMELLE

Tremelle works similarly to hyaluronic acid. Its small particles allow it to easily penetrate the skin and retain moisture. It is also a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Ideal for dehydrated, dry skin lacking radiance.

CORDYCEPS

Cordyceps has been used as an energizing remedy in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. Among its many benefits, it boosts performance and endurance while stabilizing stress levels. Cordyceps is a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, and may also help stimulate the production of collagen and elastin.

LIONS MANE

Known for reducing depression and anxiety, it improves memory and attention span. It protects cells from neurodegeneration. This mushroom also has anti-fatigue and anti-aging properties.

MAITAKE

Maitake is an adaptogenic mushroom renowned for invigorating the body, strengthening the immune system, and improving stress resistance. Maitake contains numerous vitamins, including B1, B2, C, and PP, minerals such as calcium, iron, magnesium, and phosphorus, amino acids, and polysaccharides like beta-glucan. Maitake is also used to lower blood sugar, hypertension, and cholesterol levels.

SHIITAKE

This mushroom stimulates the immune and digestive systems. It is also recommended for fatigue. Shiitake is one of the few plant-based sources of vitamin D, providing 154 mg per 100g. Vitamin D is essential for the proper functioning of the body through its role in bone mineralization.

HOW TO USE ADAPTOGENS AND ADAPTOGENIC FUNGI?

There isn't just one way to incorporate them into your diet; it's best to experiment and determine which product works best for you. You can consume them in convenient capsule form, as liquid extracts, powder, or even mix them into your morning smoothie. There's no single "right" way to consume them, and it really comes down to personal preference. Different adaptogens have different functions, so it's important to find the ones that suit your needs.
