THE VARIOUS BENEFITS OF YOUR MORNING DRINK ON YOUR SKIN AND BODY.
MATCHA
Having gained global popularity in recent years, matcha is a bright, almost fluorescent green tea made by grinding shade-grown green tea leaves into a fine powder. Thanks to its high chlorophyll content, this vibrant green powdered tea offers unparalleled health and skin benefits.
Matcha has a slightly lower caffeine content on average than coffee. A 250ml cup of matcha contains between 50 and 70ml of caffeine. Since matcha is alkaline with a pH of around 9, those with sensitive stomachs should choose it over coffee. It also protects our teeth and promotes oral health.
Matcha is one of the highest natural sources of antioxidants on the planet, helping to stabilize blood sugar levels and relieve stress on the adrenal glands. It contains the beneficial amino acid theanine and the polyphenol EGCG, both of which have numerous protective and regenerative effects on the body. Regular consumption of matcha has been shown to combat hormonal acne and protect against damage caused by the sun, pollution, and environmental stressors, resulting in clearer, more radiant skin. Its antioxidant properties also help oxygenate cells and promote healthy cell renewal. Consuming matcha also helps maintain skin elasticity.
Applied topically as a mask, it helps reduce inflammation, redness, and excess sebum. It is therefore an excellent anti-acne mask.
COFFEE
A 250ml cup of coffee contains approximately 100ml of caffeine. Coffee, like matcha, is associated with increased longevity, good heart health, and cognitive support. Rich in antioxidants, coffee helps neutralize free radicals and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while also protecting your skin from sun damage.
HERBAL TEA (OR INFUSION)
This term refers to the preparation obtained by pouring hot water over plants. It encompasses all non-caffeinated infusions, thus distinguishing them from tea and maté. Herbal teas and infusions therefore contain no caffeine or acids and are thus very easy to digest. Each herbal tea or infusion offers numerous health benefits.
Drinking herbal teas helps improve the hydration of your skin and your body in general, restoring its tone and radiance. They detoxify your skin from within, resulting in healthier skin. They are caffeine-free and easy to digest. Choose your ingredients according to your specific needs. Marshmallow or eleutherococcus are good for reactive or irritated skin, while nettle helps regulate sebum production in oily skin.
COCOA
Contrary to popular belief, cocoa contributes to healthy skin thanks to its vitamin E content combined with flavonoids. It's beneficial for the skin because it's rich in antioxidants. Thanks to its high concentration of polyphenols, it helps prevent signs of skin aging by neutralizing free radicals and stimulating collagen production. It also improves tissue hydration, brightens the complexion, and aids in wound healing.
