FAQ

Your most frequently asked questions about this product

How do I integrate Spirulina powder into my diet?

Add half a teaspoon to a teaspoon in your green smoothies, fruit juices, yogurts, guacamole, or dressings. Start with a small dose and increase gradually because spirulina has a pronounced seaweed taste that can be surprising. It pairs well with banana, mango, pineapple, lemon, and ginger which mask its taste. Avoid hot drinks which can degrade certain nutrients.

Is Spirulina suitable for vegans deficient in B12?

Spirulina contains B12 but in a form (pseudo-B12) that is partially inactive for humans. It should therefore not be the sole source of B12 for vegans. Combine it with a methylcobalamin B12 supplement or fortified foods. However, spirulina remains exceptional for its proteins, iron, vitamins, and essential minerals that are difficult to obtain in a strict plant-based diet.

Does Spirulina really help against acne?

Yes, spirulina is very beneficial against acne thanks to its richness in detoxifying chlorophyll, antibacterial zinc, sebum-regulating Vitamin A, and restorative proteins. It alkalizes the body, reduces systemic inflammation, and nourishes the skin from within. Several users report a noticeable improvement in their acne after four to six weeks of regular use. It can also be applied as a topical mask.

How much spirulina should I take daily?

Start with half a teaspoon (about one to two grams) per day for a week to accustom your digestive system. Gradually increase to one to two teaspoons (three to six grams) daily for optimal benefits. Athletes can go up to ten grams. Spirulina is a safe food with no established upper limit, but consistency is key.
