YOU WON’T RECOGNIZE YOUR SKIN IN JUST ONE WEEK!
At Superskin, we have been recommending for several years that you alternate active ingredients at night: acid / retinol / repairing balm. This evening routine has become a new trend on social media: skin cycling.
Beyond being a trend, this technique delivers a real “glass skin” effect. The skin is transformed, brighter and more even. We explain everything about this ideal evening routine in this special feature.
WHAT IS SKIN CYCLING?
The Skin Cycling technique consists of focusing on the action of one ingredient over a 3-night cycle. Rather than multiplying the application of several products and layering ingredients, which can create a harmful cocktail on your skin, Skin Cycling advocates a return to basics: effective ingredients used methodically to get the most out of them. This method also helps care for your skin barrier, which is essential for healthy skin.
This evening routine method, based on a three-night rotation, alternates the use of active ingredients with skin rest/recovery. Each evening, one treatment works alone for greater effectiveness. So, in addition to renewing the skin, this method allows you to fully benefit from the virtues of several active ingredients.
One word of caution, however: the success of Skin Cycling once again lies in consistency!

THE STEPS
DAY 1: EXFOLIATION (Fruit Acids, Enzymes)
Using acids on the first evening prepares the skin for the following night’s treatment by removing dead skin cells. The acids exfoliate and retexture the skin. The appearance of pores and wrinkles will be improved. To prevent your serum from evaporating and to make it more effective, then apply a moisturizer or a CBD-based oil to preserve your skin barrier.
- Holi (Bright) Resurface Glass face Mask - AGENT NATEUR
- Flower Acid Algae Serum - MARA
- Exfoliating Wipes - WRINKLES SCHMINKLES
DAY 2: RETINOL-BASED TREATMENT
After thoroughly cleansing your face, apply a retinol-based treatment. Retinol is the best anti-aging active because it promotes cell turnover and collagen production. It therefore reduces fine lines and wrinkles, dark spots, and blemishes. Retinol removes dead skin cells more quickly to make way for new cells. The skin looks brighter upon waking. As with acids, follow with a moisturizer or an oil.

DAY 3: RECOVERY AND REGENERATION
Repair and hydration of the skin barrier. Give the skin time to properly absorb the different ingredients and regenerate. This also helps encourage it to renew itself without the aid of an active ingredient so that it does not become dependent on your skincare products.
