10 GOOD RESOLUTIONS FOR HEALTHY, RADIANT SKIN. HERE ARE THE BEST PRACTICES.
DAILY ROUTINE
1. All skin types need hydration, even oily skin
It is often (wrongly) believed that oily skin should not be overly hydrated in order to eliminate excess sebum. However, hydration should not be confused with nourishment. When your skin is dehydrated, it lacks water and naturally produces more sebum and oil to compensate. Choosing the right lightweight moisturizer is an essential step in your skincare efforts. All skin types should use moisturizers that strengthen the skin barrier and contain anti-inflammatory ingredients to maintain clear, shine-free skin.
2. If your skin feels dry during the day, you need to change your evening routine
The skin regenerates at night. During the day it simply needs to be hydrated and protected from the sun, pollution, and other environmental factors. If your evening routine is well structured (cleansing, treatment serum and repairing balm), your skin will be balanced for the following day.
3. Skin should never remain dry and bare
After cleansing and drying your skin, it is important to quickly move on to the next steps so that the skin does not have time to become dehydrated. However, leave at least 1 minute between each of the following skincare steps to allow each product to fully absorb into the skin. Apply a toner between each step to enhance the absorption of your products.
4. When cleansing your face, lukewarm water is the ideal temperature
Hot water should absolutely be avoided as it damages the skin barrier by degrading the hydrolipidic film, dehydrates the skin and dilates blood vessels. Cold water does not cleanse effectively because pores contract under cold temperatures, trapping impurities, bacteria and sebum which can lead to imperfections. However, cold water still offers many benefits such as soothing irritation, reducing swelling and boosting blood circulation. We therefore recommend splashing your face with cold water after cleansing with lukewarm water.
5. Do not over-exfoliate your skin
Do not exfoliate your skin more than 1–2 times per week. Daily exfoliation is unnecessary and may damage the skin barrier, causing redness, irritation and breakouts. Exfoliate only once or twice per week to fully benefit from it: a radiant complexion, refined skin texture and resurfaced skin.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS AND TIMING
6. Hydrate and protect your skin daily
Every day, make sure to hydrate your skin according to its needs and protect it from UV rays by applying an SPF regardless of the weather. In every season, wearing SPF is essential to prevent skin aging and protect the skin barrier. The sun is the number one enemy of the skin. It damages the skin barrier and causes premature aging. Daily protection is essential — it cannot be emphasized enough.
Do not neglect your neck and décolleté. This area should be treated with the same care as your face. Cleanse, hydrate and protect it in the same way.
Our selection of natural and organic SPF products will help protect your skin while keeping it hydrated throughout the day. These formulas contain highly hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, sunflower oil and glacial water.

7. Do not cleanse your face in the morning
Not washing your face in the morning helps maintain a balanced skin barrier. However, cleansing your face in the evening is essential for healthy skin and is the first anti-aging step. At night, the skin releases beneficial natural oils that you do not want to remove in the morning with cleansing. If you still want to remove overnight toxins, you can apply a few drops of micellar water or simply splash your face with water or a floral mist. However, it is absolutely essential to remove makeup and cleanse your face every evening. Do not hesitate to remove your makeup as soon as you get home to rid the skin of impurities that clog pores. This also allows your skincare products to absorb into your skin rather than into your pillow.
8. Use antioxidant ingredients in the morning and retinol at night
Vitamin C is the ingredient we prefer to apply in the morning because it provides protective, anti-aging antioxidants. It smooths skin texture and helps treat signs of aging. Antioxidants help the skin defend itself throughout the day.
Retinol helps activate cell renewal. It allows new cells to appear more quickly. Since the skin naturally regenerates at night, retinol is the best active ingredient to apply in the evening.

9. Maximize your beauty while you sleep
You might think the concept of “beauty sleep” is a myth, but research published in the British Medical Journal has shown that people who get enough sleep (around eight hours per night) reveal healthier-looking skin. Sleep is the only way to repair both the skin and the nervous system. Since the skin regenerates at night, aim to sleep 7 to 9 hours per day.
To optimize your sleep and therefore the beauty of your skin, make sure to remove your makeup before going to bed. Sleeping with makeup can clog pores, cause skin congestion and irritate the eyes. Choose a thorough double cleansing routine using a cleansing oil or balm followed by a cleanser suited to your skin type.
The cleansing oil will capture pollution residues, SPF and other impurities accumulated throughout the day, while the cleanser completes the process gently. Our cleansers are so rich in active ingredients that we recommend leaving them on the skin for 2 to 5 minutes to fully benefit from their properties. Then adopt a nighttime “skin cycling” routine to maximize skin renewal while you sleep.
BEAUTY FROM WITHIN
10. Take collagen
Starting a collagen supplement routine from the age of 25 is one of our key recommendations. From this age onward, collagen levels in tissues begin to decline, which is why daily collagen supplementation without exception is necessary to compensate for this loss and maintain healthy, plump and smooth skin.
The first results from a collagen course appear after about three weeks, which is why consistency is essential if you want to achieve significant improvements in the quality of your skin, hair and nails. It is a beauty habit to integrate into your routine over the long term. The secret is consistency — and it makes all the difference. For example, the results of taking Marine Collagen begin to fade after just two weeks of stopping.
